She has curated galleries and exhibitions; Gallery FI4E, KODE Art Museum (2021), KunstLageret (2019) and “SO GREAT MEETING YOU”, Bergen Kjøtt (2019).

NILIA has sold multiple art works to a variety of private collectors.

NILIA is a figurative artist who works across multiple mediums including painting, sculpture, textile, text, silkscreen printing, digital drawing and ceramics. She combines the different mediums, making multiple pieces working together as installations highlighting a particular conversation.  The main topic NILIA work with is feminism in the forms of body, menstruation, social media and the domestic environment. Her work varies in size from embroidered panties to 2-meter-long silkscreen prints.

The aesthetics following the artist’s practice is often characterized by a feminine combination of soft pastel and clear strong color. The voice is loud and determined and the beauty of the works entices the audience into a conversation that might otherwise be difficult to have.

The artist embraces the popular culture, it’s online culture and the young women’s fuck-you-finger to traditional views and desires for a quiet, polite and disciplined woman. NILIA addresses the trends we see in the time we now live in; self-mirroring, voyeurism, sassy self-obsession and a call out culture that arose around #metoo.
